Nissan Maxima

The 2009 Nissan Maxima has made its debut and is now available at Nissan dealers nationwide. This is the seventh generation of Nissan's flagship sedan with the automaker claiming that the car has returned to its roots as "The 4-Door Sports Car(TM)." The all-new Maxima features sports styling, a driver-oriented interior and an enhanced 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine (290-horsepower/261 lb-ft of torque) with an EPA estimated 19 mpg City/26 mpg Highway mileage a slight improvement over the previous model.

The Nissan Maxima is offered in two models, the Maxima 3.5 S and the Maxima 3.5 SV, each one equipped with the standard 3.5-liter V6 and intelligent Xtronic CVT(TM) (Continuously Variable Transmission). Prices are definitely in the luxury car range, starting at an MSRP of $29,290 for the Maxima 3.5 S and $31,990 for the Maxima 3.5 SV.
"The 2009 Maxima 3.5 S features an increase in standard equipment, horsepower and style, combined with better fuel economy, yet remains very competitively priced with nearly $400 more value than the 2008 Maxima 3.5 SE," said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc. "As the flagship of Nissan's exciting 2009 lineup, this new Maxima sets the standard in every category, including value."
